Your vehicle manufacturer will have a regular maintenance schedule for your belts and hoses, but be sure to pay attention to any signs or symptoms that tell you your car’s belts and hoses are beginning to wear out. Signs would include any puddles beneath your vehicle, squealing noises, and chips, cracks, or splits on any belt or hose.

If you see any of these signs, be sure to check with your certified technician. If they see any signs of wear, tear, or damage, they will recommend the affected belts and hoses be replaced right away. Then your vehicle—and you—can get safely on your way.
