Differential Repair

Your car’s drive train takes the horsepower from the engine and turns it into torque to turn the wheels. When we talk about the drivetrain, we’re really discussing two main components: the transmission and the differential. But it also includes lesser components that connect them to the wheels, such as the driveshaft, axles, U-joints, CV-joints, and, on cars with manual transmissions, the clutch.

Of course, there are a lot of variations on these components. For example, most rear-wheel drive cars and trucks use a separate transmission and differential, connected by a driveshaft. On the other hand, most front-wheel drive cars have a transaxle, which combines the transmission and differential in one case.

Bottom line—all differentials handle an enormous amount of power and protect your gears so it’s important to keep them properly lubricated. If your certified technician notices a leak or a blown gasket in the differential, they will recommend a differential repair to fix the problem right away.

Our certified technicians are skilled in working on all types of differentials so when you need a differential repair, we’re happy to help so you can get where you’re going safely.
